Home from home

Just wanted to say that Villa Meliti was a wow for us as soon as we arrived. It's stunningly modern with every possible gadget you would have at home. Andrie & George went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. When we arrived there was a beautiful large bowl full of fruit, bottle of wine, their very own pressed olive oil and more.. Andrie even took us shopping to make the start of our holiday even easier than it was. We had very young children with us and even they were catered for with cots, high chair and lovely toys too. I really can't recommend this lovely villa enough.
Holiday at Villa Meliti, Kalamakj
Date of Stay: Sep 18, 2017
We stayed at Villa Meliti with friends for 1 week. The location is ideal for walking into Kalamaki to the bars and restaurants. It's a fantastic well equipped villa and George and Andrie couldn't have been more helpful. They recommended restaurants and booked taxis for us. The welcome pack of wine, raki, biscuits, nuts fruit and bread was a lovely surprise. The quick response from Andrie to any request was amazing.

It's the seventh year we arrive for 2 weeks. We love it. The property is modern, clean, fully equipped. We love the proximity to the beach and to chania. George and Andrie are lovely and generous. Highly recommended!
Beautiful property in great location with warm, welcoming hosts

We stayed at Villa Meliti for 10 days in August as a party of 4 adults and 5 children. The villa couldn't have been more perfect. It is beautifully designed and the layout worked really well for two families sharing together. Immaculately clean (we received maid service three times during our stay) and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is ideal: a short 10 minute walk down to Kalamaki Beach (very child friendly) with a selection of bars/restaurants. The bus stop for Chania is at the bottom of the road and is only a short ride into the picture postcard harbour. We also took a couple of trips on the Fun Bus (land train) which also goes from the bottom of the road - the Grand Canyon trip up into the mountains was fab! George and Andrie are the perfect hosts from start to finish, from the many emails we exchanged before our stay, to organising taxis to and from the airport for us, to taking us to the local supermarket twice during our stay (no need to hire a car due to its great location), to the icecreams (for the kids) and Cretan cookery books (for the grown ups) Andrie brought us as we were leaving which was a really lovely touch. Nothing is too much trouble and they are on 24 hour call (living only next door) if you need anything at all. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Villa Meliti and very much hope to be back. You certainly won't be disappointed!
Perfect holiday stay!

Andrie and George's vacation property has everything you need for a fun, exciting and relaxing holiday. Andrie and George were amazing hosts - always available to help if we needed anything. That's a huge bonus when traveling to a new country.
The house is well equipped and organized with just about everything you need! Feels like a home away from home. The pool is perfect for hanging out in and cooling down after a day exploring Chania and the surrounding area.
I can't say enough about the friendliness and generosity of the Cretan people. We had a great time and will definitely be back some day. One week was not enough time for us!

From the very beginning of booking this fantastic villa. Andrie was incredible. She accomedated our needs and answered every question I had.
We were a party of 7 with 2 boys under the age of 8. My youngest nephew is 4 and can't swim yet. So the kiddies part of the pool was perfect for him.
Instantly when we arrived we were greeted by Andrie and shown how everything worked and the nearest amenities. Always there when we needed her.
We were in Crete for my Uncle and Aunties 50th wedding anniversary (they have lived in Chania for 6 years) and most of my family flew out for the occasion.
We had many of my Uncles, Aunties and cousins round to the villa on one of the days and they needed cabs back to their hotels and within a few minutes of texting Andrie if she could arrange cabs to pick them all up, she had responded and booked them. It was the same for one night in the harbour and our cab to the airport.
She also amazingly took us to the biggest supermarket for a big shop. Chatty and friendly. Our family was so impressed with how attentive she was.
We had a problem with one of the air con units in the downstairs bedrooms that was leaking. After the realisation that it wasn't normal. Andrie had her husband George come round to check it and he called a technian straight away. It was fixed within a few hours.
Everything about our stay and experience was amazing. The villa is big enough that we certainly weren't on top of each other. It was beautiful. We were also given a welcome back of wine, raki, biscuits, nuts and sweets. Then on our last night Andrie came and left us some desserts. She's amazing!
My nephews also enjoyed the many pool accessories as well!
I've never known such quick responses from home owners before. Just incredible and I really hope we return one day to stay at this amazing villa and of course see Andrie again!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
Thank you Andrie and George for an amazing stay!!
